Eucalyptus logs are obtained from cutting [[eucalyptus trees]]. They cannot be fletched and give 193.5 Firemaking experience when burned. The only location eucalyptus trees can be found is west of [[Oo'glog]]. They were first introduced on [[29 January]] [[2008]] with the [[As a First Resort...]] [[quest]], and a minimum of 15 eucalyptus logs are needed to complete the quest. Being close to a bank and extremely lightweight, this makes chopping eucalyptus trees a very efficient way to make money. There is also is a [[spirit tree]] nearby which can be used to get to the [[Grand Exchange]] quickly. However, this area may be dangerous for lower levels as many [[ogress]]es and [[wolf (64)|wolves]] live in the area and are [[aggressive]] to all levels. There are a few safe spots where they cannot attack players, namely northeast near the hunting grounds. Eucalyptus logs can be more efficient when making money than yews, since most yews near banks have many people chopping them.

One method of training multiple skills at once is to bring along a [[hatchet]], a [[tinderbox]] and a [[bird snare]] or two. Players can cut eucalyptus trees and burn their logs while waiting for the traps to catch [[tropical wagtails]] ([[Hunter]] level 19 required, level 20 required for 2 traps at once). They can also cook the raw bird meat for [[Cooking]] experience and [[food]] to heal the occasional hits by the Ogres. Players can then train Woodcutting, Firemaking, and Cooking and Hunter all at once, making this an ideal training area for players with lower levels in those skills.

Eucalyptus logs have become a very popular log of choice for Firemaking training after the release of the [[Toolbelt]], as they can be lit with one click after a tinderbox is added to the belt. Also since the update, eucalyptus is one of the best woodcutting xp rates in the game now since you can one-click drop all your logs in your inventory by left-clicking "light."

*Eucalyptus logs cannot be used in the [[fletching]] skill. If a player tries to fletch a eucalyptus log, the following message is displayed: "These stringy-barked logs aren't good for making bows or [[arrow shafts]]".
