The '''Elven Clans''' are an unofficially named collection of eight [[elves|elven]] families that were brought to [[Gielinor]] through the [[World Gate]] by [[Seren]] during the [[First Age]]. The clans have, since the betrayal of [[Lord Iorwerth]] at the [[Battle of Prifddinas]] in the Year 1930 of the [[Fourth Age]], lost much of their inter-regional significance and have become legendary in many parts of the world.

The clans were given [[Prifddinas]] upon their arrival in Gielinor by Seren, their goddess. They ruled it equally, through the [[Elven Council of Elders]], through the [[Second Age|Second]], [[Third Age|Third]], and most of the [[Fourth Age|Fourth]]. Since the betrayal of the [[Iorwerth Clan]], the majority of the elven [[race]] has been forced to retreat to [[Isafdar]] and the [[Arandar|Arandar Mountain Range]].

All the elven clans can still contact Seren by using their Crystal tower. The tower contacts with the Tower of Voices, in the middle of Prifddinas.

== Known Clans ==

Of the eight clans, only three are known to [[humans]]. Apparently the clans differ greatly in lifestyle and nature, but little of this has been made common knowledge. The remaining five have yet to be referred to by name.
