The '''Elite black platelegs''' were released on [[26 November]] [[2008]] along with the quest [[While Guthix Sleeps]]. They require level 40 [[defence]] to wear. They are dropped by [[elite black knight]]s. They are part of the [[Elite black armour]] set along with the [[Elite black full helm]] and the [[Elite black platebody]]. The back of these [[platelegs]] seem to look like a skirt, similar to the kama worn by ARC troopers in Star Wars. Their [[stat]]s are similar to those of the [[rune platelegs]], however, the Elite black platelegs have a considerably lower crush defence, among other differences. The Elite black platelegs and the rest of the Elite Black Armour Set are usually considered to be a sign of wealth, as their stats are relatively low compared to other expensive types of armour. However, the Elite black platelegs range attack bonus as well as its defence stats are better than that of [[Black platelegs]], making it the best choice to use for ranging or meleeing the [[Tormented wraith]].
