Studies have shown that this ruin comes from the [[Second Age|Second]]{{fact}} or early [[God Wars|Third Age]], just before the [[God Wars]], when the village of Edgeville was called Paddewwa and was owned by followers of [[Zaros]].<br /> <br /> It is possible the mausoleum was destroyed in the early Third Age, when [[Zamorak]]ians and [[Saradomin]]ists joined forces to eradicate all evidence of [[Zaros|Zaros&#039;s]] existence on [[Gielinor]].<br /> <br /> Nowadays the Edgeville Mausoleum serves no purpose other than as an entrance to the [[Edgeville Dungeon]] and a place for [[Woodcutting|woodcutters]] to cut down some [[yew tree]]s, found in the garden on the left side of the building. Woodcutting here is more popular on non members worlds because it is easy to get to and close to a bank. However there are better opportunities to woodcut elsewhere for members. The portal to [[Soul Wars]] is located inside the ruins. along the west wall on the opposite side of the trees. There is also a lever here that can teleport players to the Deserted Keep in the Wilderness, much like East Ardougne&#039;s lever.
