To successfully prosecute Evil Dave, follow these steps before entering the courtroom:
*Read through the three case reports. There are no fingerprints.
*Interview [[Oziach]], located in [[Edgeville]]. Go through all the chat options.
*Interview [[Doris]] (Dave's mum), located in Edgeville. Go through all the chat options.
*Interview Evil Dave, located in the courthouse. Go through all the chat options.

Then go into the courtroom below. Follow these steps:
*Present the Hellrats as evidence. Say "Dave summoned them to do his evil bidding."
*Call Oziach to the stand. Ask him about "Evil acts."
*Call Doris to the stand. Ask her about "Dave's childhood."
*Call Evil Dave to the stand. Ask him about "Hellrats."
*Direct the closing statement at the ranger.

Then go into the courtroom below. Follow these steps:
*Present hellrats as evidence. Say "They're just an infestation."
*Present the BASEMENT OF DOOM. Say "He lives in his mum's basement."
*Present the evil stew as evidence. Say "The stew was created to help stop the Culinaromancer."
*Present the fluffy pants as evidence. Say "A man who wears fluffy pants can't take over the world."
*Call Oziach to the stand. Ask him about his "Opinion of Dave."
*Call Doris (Dave's Mum) to the stand. Ask her about the "Fluffy pants."
*Call Gypsy Aris to the stand. Ask her about the "Culinaromancer."
*Direct the closing statement at the shady gentleman or the shady individual.

==Trivia==

*If you call Evil Dave to the stand and ask him about every topic, the judge will rule him to be a liability to his case and order all his statements stricken from the record. This will render both his positive and negative responses neutral.
* If you have an anti-dragon shield in your inventory or have it equipped, then you won't be able to talk to Oziach about Dave.
*When presenting Evil Stew as evidence, the option "It's tasty, tasty, very very tasty" is a reference to a song used to advertise bran flakes in the 1990s.
*It is assumed that you cannot receive this case until you have saved Evil Dave in the [[Recipe for Disaster]] quest.
*Gypsy Aris in Varrock will not talk to you about the case if you have not completely finished the [[Recipe for Disaster]] quest, making you unable to successfully defend Evil Dave until you finish the quest. Finishing the quest and speaking to her again in Varrock will cause the correct option to appear. (As of 29 February 2012)
*When Oziach is called to the stand for questioning, he still has the "Trade" chat option when right clicked, although it is impossible to reach him to do so.
