All of these areas are considered to be part of the Dwarven Realm. During the [[Fourth Age|Fourth]] and early [[Fifth Age]]s, most dwarves were hostile towards those races on the surface, and denied them access to virtually any land under their control.<br /> <br /> The progression of the Fifth Age has gradually seen an increase in openness between the Dwarven Realm and other nations. The [[Fremennik]] [[Runecrafting Crusades]] of 42 to 62 caused some halt in diplomacy, particularly following the slaughter of the [[Imcando dwarf|Imcando Dwarves]] and the [[Battle of Camdozaal]]. However, relations began to restore following the Crusades. The [[War of 164]] particularly helped to strengthen ties between [[Asgarnia]] and the Dwarven Realm, eventually culminating in the establishment of the [[Mining Guild]]. In 169, the [[Dorgesh-Kaan - Keldagrim Train System]] was established, allowing for new trade between the [[Dorgeshuun]] and the dwarves. Today the Dwarven Realm and its neighbors are, for the most part, very open with each other, although some groups such as [[H.A.M]] and [[The Red Axe]] oppose this.
