The '''Duellist's cap''' is a hat that keeps track of the amount of kills in the [[Duel Arena]] of the wearer. It has more detail for each milestone reached. Together with the [[Wildstalker helmet]], this cap will give the owner the ability to transform into a statue, which shows various PvP statistics. It will also give access to the [[emote]] [[brag]] which allows you take off the hat and bow. There is also another aspect to the hat. You can turn into a statue with any hat other than the tier one hat, so other players will be able to click and be informed of your dueling stats. This hat is obtainable by speaking to [[Estocada]], who is also the man brandishing a fine sword at the gates of the [[Duel Arena]]. Unlike the [[Wildstalker helmet]], your kills will be tracked in both [[F2P]] and [[P2P]] worlds.

In order to receive the higher milestones for this hat, some players take turns forfeiting in the arena to raise their win count.

==Trivia==

*There was a glitch where the cap would disappear when you rested or sat down to listen to musicians. This also occurred when you sat in narrow places where you are surrounded on 2 sides by an object. For example, sitting between the hospital beds at the Duel Arena would cause your hat to disappear. This was fixed on 8 June 2011.
* If you try to transform into a statue while under attack it will yield a message "''It would be unwise to lower your defenses.''" This is a reference to a Darth Vader quote from the Star Wars series.
* There is currently a glitch when you execute the emote as a male player, your hairstyle will turn short.
* There is currently a glitch that makes it impossible to have more than 250 consecutive wins at once. The counter would reach 250, then stop.
* There was a glitch where when doing the Duellist's Cap's brag emote with a tier 3 hat in which the tier 3 hat changes into a tier 2 hat during the animation but changes back afterwards. This was fixed on 14 June 2011.
*There was a glitch when you morphed and quickly teleported with an [[Explorer's ring 3]], it resulted in a light-blue silhouette of your statue remaining in your place. This glitch has been fixed.
*The wearer does not really turn into a statue, but the statue is spawned and placed over the player, temporarily hiding the player.
*When you do the Brag emote and try to morph into the statue it says in you chat box "''You're a little busy showing off right now!''".
*When wielding a 2 handed sword while wearing a duelist's cap the tip of the sword appears to poke through.
*If the hat is lost, when replacing it Estocada will say "I don't often replace hats, but when I do, I choose to replace duellists' caps."
*On March 2, 2012 there was a glitch with the Duellist's cap, [[Easter Ring]], and [[Bone Brooch]] causing the items to move to places. It was fixed two hours later.
