It is exclusively obtained as an uncommon drop in the [[Warriors&#039; Guild]] from the [[Cyclops|cyclopes]], and a common drop from their stronger brethren, the [[Cyclossus]]. Cyclossus has a higher chance of dropping the dragon defender than regular cyclopes, and can only be fought while wielding a [[Rune defender|rune]] or a dragon defender. In addition, using the multi-token mode in the cyclopes room increases the chance of receiving a dragon defender as well as encountering a Cyclossus.<br /> <br /> The dragon defender, when wielded with [[Korasi&#039;s sword]], gives the same stab bonus as the [[Zamorakian spear]], along with +1 more strength. This can be used for a much cheaper and more convenient alternative to the spear, if players are willing to give up the +2 [[prayer bonus]]. The [[chaotic longsword]], when combined with the dragon defender, is more accurate, and faster, than a Godsword, with a -6 compromise on weapon strength. They should note that wearing a dragon defender whilst fighting the Cyclops may lead to the summoning of a [[Cyclossus]].
