'''Dharok's platebody''' is [[Armour#Melee armour|melee armour]] worn in the [[Inventory#Body Slot|body slot]] that is part of [[Dharok the Wretched's equipment|Dharok the Wretched's set]] of [[barrows equipment]]. To wear Dharok's platebody, a player must have 70 [[Defence]].

[[Torag's platebody]], Dharok's platebody, and [[Guthan's platebody]] have identical stats, tied for second place for highest stab and ranged defence, third for slash defence and fourth for crush defence.

Being part of Dharok's barrows set, if Dharok's platebody is worn along with all of the other pieces of equipment in Dharok's barrows set the player receives a special effect. Attacks do more damage as the player's [[Life Points]] decrease, up to double damage at 10% Life Points. Although the degrading deters many poorer players, it takes around 5 hours to degrade from 100 to 75, and is relatively cheap to repair. The cheapest yet is to simply sell it to Grand Exchange and use that money to buy a new one. As with all [[Barrows equipment]], this item '''cannot''' be made using the [[Smithing]] [[skill]].

As with many items that closely relate to combat, Dharok's Platebody experienced a sharp rise in price in the lead up to the [[Update:PvP Worlds|PvP worlds update]], with its daily average price rising above 235K. Roughly 3–4 days after the update had been released, once the hype had passed, the price sharply fell back to around 208k where it was for all of 2008 until January 2009, where the price rose sharply over the month at a stunningly fast rate to a market price of 339k.
