The '''Demonic Ruins''' are the remains of a copy of the fortress of [[Annakarl]], located deep in the [[Wilderness]]. [[Annakarl]] was presumably destroyed during the battle for the Zarosian fortresses in 3100 of the [[Third Age]] during the [[God Wars]]. [[Free-to-play]] and [[pay-to-play]] players can access these ruins.

Before the [[Bounty Hunter]] and [[Clan Wars]] updates, these ruins used to be frequented for clan wars as they are a deep wilderness [[multicombat]] zone.

This area is also known as the "Greater Demon Zone" or in short form "GDZ" as they are surrounded by [[Greater Demons]]. It can be extremely dangerous, as the demons hit frequently, even through a good defence.[[File:demonic ruins.png|right|thumb|The Demonic Ruins on the minimap]] Mages and rangers, however, can attack the Greater demons from [[safespot]]s in the ruins. All fighters can restock on food in the cage/harpoon [[fishing]] spot if necessary as well. The Demonic Ruins are also a respawn point for [[Blood runes]] and [[Burnt bones]] (the Burnt bones have a respawn rate of about 45 seconds). Additionally, an [[Annakarl Teleport|Ancient Magicks]] spell can teleport you there. As of [[16 June]] [[2009]], this area rendered semi-obsolete as players can kill Greater demons in the Wilderness Volcano. If that area is too crowded, players may come here for an alternate location, and be more wary of the passing dangers of pkers.

The fastest way to get here is to use the Annakarl Teleport from the [[Ancient Magicks]] spellbook.

It is advised to check on the east every 10 minutes to see if a pker is coming. There are four demons that lurk around. If you see a fifth dot, it can either be [[William]] or a pker.

==Trivia==
*The Demonic Ruins can be found in the Free-for-all arena of Clan Wars. However, there is no sign of the demons except for a large skeleton.
*During the RuneScape 2 beta, there was a blood rune spawn in the ruins which was accessible to both members and non-members.
*Prior to the [[Runescape HD]] update, there were two oreless rocks with a "mine" option in the ruins.
