A Cup of tea is a refreshment which restores 30 life points and temporarily boosts Attack by 3. Players may purchase a cup of tea for 10 coins each at the tea stall south of the east entrance to Varrock. When a player drinks a cup of tea, they say the phrase, "Aaah, nothing like a nice cuppa tea!" and an empty cup remains in the player's inventory. A cup of tea can also be used on a tea flask in order to combine multiple cups.

Players may also steal from tea stalls to obtain a cup of tea. A Thieving level of 5 is required to steal from tea stalls. There are some respawn points for this item south of the herb shop in Taverley and north of the tea stall in Varrock.
Quest Uses
*A cup of tea is used in The Dig Site Quest to bribe the Panning Guide in order to use the panning area found in Dig Site.
*Nettle tea, a variation of a cup of tea is also created in Ghosts Ahoy as the Old Crone requires you to make her a cup of nettle tea.
*Players may bring Elsie a cup of tea to hear her tell a tale. This is an easy Varrock Task.
*Tea can also be found when speaking to the monk by the forest north of Ardougne.
*An Empty cup is used in the quest One Small Favour.

Trivia
*This is one of the only types of tea that cannot be used with a bucket of milk to make a milky version.
*Nettle tea and POH tea has the empty option, but this standard tea does not.
*Sir Galahad is known for handing cups of tea to travelers who give him the pleasure of their conversation. This is an easy Seers' Task.
*Elsie, on the second story of the Saradomin church in north-east Varrock, will tell a story if given a cup of tea. This action is an easy Varrock Task.
*Due to an update on 9 November 2009, swapping tea around with a full inventory no longer causes cups to be dropped.
*On the 25 November 2010 a glitch occurred for the image of this item on the Grand Exchange that made it just show the frame of the Cup of tea.
*In Varrock, near the teaseller, before a hidden update, there was an item near his stall called, "Display tea". Players could not take the tea. This was removed in a hidden update.
*In RuneScape Classic, you were allowed to telegrab the display tea unlike in RuneScape 2; it was tradeable. If you dropped the display tea, you could not pick it up unless you used Telekinetic Grab. It was also used in scamming occasionally.
*Ghasts cannot rot Tea, this may be because its classified as a potion.
