'''Concentrated gold rocks''' can only be found in the [[Living Rock Caverns]] located underneath the northern part of the [[Dwarven Mine]]. They require a [[Mining]] level of 80 to mine ore from them and give 65 experience per ore mined. There are only 4 concentrated gold rocks in the game; they are in the northwest, northeast, southwest, and southeast corners of the cavern.

Concentrated gold rocks will give 1-2 [[gold ore]]s at a time. The message "you manage to mine two gold ores!" will appear in the chatbox (not filtered) when this happens. This works in addition to the chance of receiving an extra ore if wearing [[Varrock armour]] or if boosted by the effects of a [[shooting star]]. This increases the possible ore mined to up to 4 at a time, with an overall increase in the chance of finding multiple ores. [[Gems]] '''cannot''' be obtained from this type of rock.

Concentrated gold rocks are one of the fastest mining experiences in the game at about 40-60k experience per hour without the use of familiars, and can be a money making method for high level players because the rocks are very close to a deposit box. However the most notable feature for the avid use of this location is that this type of mining requires substantially less clicking than the constant attention necessary for normal mining. Players who use Pack Yaks and Juju Mining Potions can reduce the amount of time required for banking further, enough to increase the experience rates per hour to about 75k. The fastest possible experience, obtainable by low alchemy mining, can exceed 90k, '''before''' the use of experience boosting equipment such as Sacred Clay Picks or Penance Horns.

Note: This is a dangerous area as all of the monsters are above level 120 and are aggressive to players that come near them; therefore, many players choose to use the unofficial worlds 77, 84 and 88, and only mine the two southern rocks (one of which can be mined from a safespot), as this allows for players to use their sheer numbers to avoid attack from the aggressive Living Rock Creatures nearby.
