'''Chaps (class 5)''' is the best piece of ranged armour available in the [[Stealing Creation]] [[minigame]]. It requires 80 [[Crafting]] to be made and 80 [[Ranged]] to wear. It requires one piece of class 5 clay to be created at a [[creation kiln]]. Although it provides no range attack bonus, unlike regular leather armour, it is commonly worn by archers as a means of protection from warriors.

Just like all other stealing creation items, this item can only be created within the minigame. Also, the item will disappear when a player leaves the game.

The chaps give better but comparable defence stats to [[Black d'hide chaps]].

They look identical to the chaps that can be bought from the [[Rewards Mystic]].

Unlike all other ranged armours, the chaps from [[Stealing Creation]] do not defend against magic attacks. To fight mages it would be advised to equip robes instead of the ranged armour, or other ranged armour not from the minigame.
