The '''Cat staff''' is an item released on [[4 August]] [[2010]] as part of the [[Update:Elite Treasure Trails and New Rewards|Elite Treasure Trail update]]. When this item is equipped along with the [[Cat mask]], you can perform the [[Cat dance]] [[emote]]. It also gives the same bonuses as a [[mystic air staff]], but with +2 summoning defence and +6 [[prayer]]. Unlike the other [[Animal staff|animal staves]], the Cat Staff has no unlimited supply of runes. However, it can be used to perform [[magic]] with [[runes]], for example an attack spell, in which the Cat staff will use the same animation cycles as any other staff. The Cat staff is often confused as a bear staff because of its appearance.
