'''Cactus seeds''' can only be planted in the [[farming/Patch locations|cactus patch]] found in [[Al Kharid]]. They require level 55 [[Farming]] to plant. Growth time is approximately 9 hours. Players can harvest [[cactus spine]]s from the mature plant.

As of [[21 August]] [[2012]] update, [[Ayesha]] will look after your seed for 6 [[cadava berries]].

Cactus seeds are dropped by [[Aberrant spectre]]s, [[Cockroach soldier]]s, [[Dagannoth (Lighthouse)]], [[Desert strykewyrm]]s, [[Ice giant]]s, [[Moss giants]], [[Ogre]]s, [[Cave horror]]s and other monsters. They may be a reward for cremating [[vyre corpse]]s, obtained by pickpocketing a [[Master Farmer]] or bought from the [[Vinesweeper]] [[minigame]] for 1200 points each.

You can make quite a decent profit from these, but there are much better and faster options at level 55 Farming and above. Thus it may be a good idea to plant one of these seeds and harvest the spines whenever you are in the area for profit, but not grow cacti for regular experience.
