A '''Button mushroom''' is a [[food]] item that heals 10 [[life points]] when consumed. Players obtain three of them whilst doing the [[Spirit of Summer]] quest, though they are not needed to complete the quest, and, therefore, players do not need to retain them.

There is a respawn on a rotting wood in the ruined houses on the far west of [[Wilderness]]. These mushrooms were released on the same day as the quest, on [[29 July]] [[2008]].

Players can sell them to the [[general store]] for 15 [[coins]], and buy one for 34 coins when there is only one in the player stock. Strangely, this is one of the [[members object]]s freely obtainable by [[F2P]] players (via the rotting wood in the ruined houses in Wilderness), but it still cannot be consumed or traded in free worlds.

==Grand Exchange bug==
Bizarrely, on the day they were released, the [[Grand Exchange]] Database quoted the market price as 2 coins, the maximum price as 3 coins, and the minimum price as 17 coins. Players also could not buy or sell them on the [[Grand Exchange]]. This has since been fixed.
