The '''Burthorpe and Taverley ''' tasks were released on [[31 January]] [[2012]] with the rework of [[Burthorpe]]. There are 55 tasks, mostly as an introduction to membership. Non-members are able to complete 12 tasks of the set. They are designed to be done in a linear order, following the [[Troll Warzone]] storyline. However, high level players have the option to skip the storyline and do the tasks in any order.

Unlike other sets of [[tasks]], there is only one difficulty level of tasks for this set, and there is no taskmaster. There are no skill requirements to complete any of the tasks.

While it's more convenient for members to get the necessary items from the NPCs they're surrounded by, <span style="font-style: normal; ">non-members can get them from various spawning spots or buy them from the Grand Exchange.</span>

The task called '''Arise, Hero''' cannot be finished unless the tutorial is completed. To complete it, a player must talk to [[Major Nigel Corothers]]. If the player talks to him before finishing all other tasks, Major Corothers doesn't respond with the correct reply to start the cutscene.
