'''Brutal arrows''' were released along with the [[Zogre Flesh Eaters]] quest. They are members' items. Instead of arrowtips, the brutal arrows use the flat sides of nails, therefore being "brutal". The brutal arrows are stronger than their regular [[arrow]] counterpart and have the bonus of being very effective versus [[Zogre]]s due to their bones easily crumbling beneath the crushing force, as piercing weaponry is ineffective. This ability comes at the cost of not being poisonable. All types of brutal arrows appear identical.

Brutal arrows are tradeable and therefore they can be bought by other players or at Grand Exchange if you do not wish to make them yourself.

== How to make ==
*Brutal arrows can only be made from special [[arrow shafts]] called [[ogre arrowshafts]]. These can be made by using a knife on [[achey logs]] from an [[achey tree]]. Each log gives 2-6 arrow shafts.
*Next, 4 [[feather]]s must be added each shaft to make [[flighted ogre arrow]]s (6 fletch in a set).
*Finally, [[nails]] of the players choice are added as arrow tips (6 fletch in a set) with a hammer in your inventory.
*[[Fletching]] experience is given for each step.

Brutal arrows can only be fired from [[composite ogre bow]]s which are only available to players who have gone far enough into the [[Zogre Flesh Eaters]] quest. [[Grish]] will show you how to make a composite ogre bow from an Achey log and [[wolf bones]].

== Trivia ==

*Although the examine text states that they are blunt and therefore deliver crushing impact, brutal arrows are somewhat ineffective against [[Waterfiend]]s, which are weak to crushing impact.
