A '''black knife''' is a [[pay-to-play|member's only]] [[Ranged]] weapon. A player must have at least 10 Ranged to wield these throwing knives.

They can be obtained as drops from [[Ankou]], [[Rock Crabs]], [[Cyclopes]], [[Shadow warrior]]s or level 48 [[soldier (Imperial Guard)|soldiers]], by pickpocketing [[Monkey knife fighter]]s, or by trading with another player. Black knives can be [[poison]]ed and can be wielded with a [[shield]] or [[god book]] for protection.

Black knives are also one of only two ranged weapons able to harm the [[Tormented wraith]], the other being [[Black dart]]s.
