The '''Bathus chainbody''' (Tier 2) is an item that can only be obtained and used while [[Dungeoneering]]. It requires level 10 [[Defence]] to wear. It may be picked up from the table at the beginning of a dungeon, obtained as a monster drop, or produced using the [[Smithing]] skill.<br />

It can be produced by using 3 [[Bathus bars]] with a [[hammer]] on an [[anvil]], requiring level 16 Smithing and granting 66 smithing [[experience]].<br />
<br />
If possible, it is usually advised to produce a [[Bathus platebody]] instead, as it gives better defence bonuses overall. However, its crush defence bonus is slightly lower, it requires 5 bars as opposed to 3, and the platebody is less suitable for rangers as it lowers the wearer's [[Ranged]] attack bonus.<br />
