A player will need [[earmuffs]], [[Masked earmuffs]] or a [[slayer helm]]/[[Full slayer helmet]] for this fight. Without any of these, a player will repeatedly take 74 damage and have their [[combat]] stats reduced. Players are forbidden to use Melee or Prayer during the fight. It is recommended that you use ranged to fight the Banshee Champion and wear ranging armour for magical defence.<br />

Defeating the champion while assigned banshees as a slayer assignment will NOT count towards your task.<br />
