However, if players go to the [[Taverley Dungeon]] to kill these they might get attacked by the mother [[Blue dragon|Blue Dragon]] if players get too close, so bringing an [[anti-dragon shield]] (and perhaps an [[anti-fire potion]]) is advisable. As with all dragons, stab and ranged attacks are the best method to kill these monsters, though slash works at higher levels.<br />

Due to the relatively high [[Prayer]] experience gained from their bones in comparison to their toughness to defeat, they are often killed for their bones. When fighting Baby blue dragons, it is recommended to use melee or ranged. If using melee, a weapon with a decent stab bonus is recommended like a [[Leaf-bladed sword]], [[Brackish blade]], or [[Zamorakian spear]]. For rangers, [[crossbow]]s and [[bolts]] are recommended, as arrows seem to be less effective. [[Broad-tipped bolts]] and [[mithril bolts]] are effective. At higher attack levels, slashing weapons such as the [[abyssal whip]] are feasible means of killing them. It is encouraged not to use magic as they are highly resistant to magic attacks. It's recommended to bring food like [[bass]] and up depending on level, and good armour like [[Rune equipment#Armour|Rune]], [[Dragon equipment#Armour|Dragon]] or [[Elite black]] will keep the player from losing much health. Baby blue dragons attack with the same speed as a dagger/whip.
