Unlike their other bat relatives, these bats are aggressive. Because of this, and the fact that the cave is single-combat, many players find the bats irritating, like the [[Wild dog]]s in the [[Brimhaven Dungeon]]. They can sometimes be seen as worse than [[wild dog]]s as they don't drop [[charms]]; although players using [[Guthan's set|full Guthan's]] may use them as a means of healing. The bats will not show aggression to players whose combat level is 105 or greater.<br />

They can be killed for 'bat' [[slayer]] assignments. They give the highest amount of Slayer experience for any bat, although there may be higher-levelled bats in [[Daemonheim]] which give more.
