A '''Perfect black dragon scale''' is one of the scales of the four [[Chromatic dragons]] that [[Vannaka]] can ask you to fetch him, as part of his [[Slayer/Challenges|Slayer challenge]]. [[Black dragon]]s and [[Baby black dragon]]s can drop this scale, but only when the player has taken the challenge. The scale is not a guaranteed drop, so the player should be prepared to slay several dragons to obtain one. Multiple scales can be obtained, but all are consumed when the challenge is completed.
