'''Esslings''' are skeletal rat-like creatures that were released with the [[Runespan]] update, and also roam around said plane. They were seen during the [[See The Future]] preview of the Runespan. They are imbued with energy of low level runes and are found on all levels of Runespan.

There are five known types of esslings:
