Item information is a feature introduced by Jagex on 25 March 2009 to provide players with information before any item is purchased. It appears while trading in the Grand Exchange, in a shop, or with another player.

Combat item

Combat item with stats and requirements.

Information provided:

• Examine text
• Slot where the item is worn.
• Skill level(s) required to wear or wield
• Quest(s) required to wear or wield
• Attack and Defence stats
• Other bonuses

Non-combat item with information

Non-combat item with requirements to use.

Information provided:

• Examine text
• Skill level(s) required to use
• Quest(s) required to use

Non-combat item without information

Non-combat item with only Examine text information.
