Degradation

Degradation occurs to some pieces of equipment, where the equipment gradually wears down until reaching a "charge" of zero. When this happens the item will either become unusable or will have reduced stats and can be recharged at a price, or crumbles to dust.

Crystal equipment

Made with elven crystal and sung from crystal seeds, crystal equipment is unique in that it becomes less and less effective as it degrades. Ilfeen would recharge them for a fee.

Special cases

• The dwarf multicannon decays. After 25 minutes of being set up, it vanishes, but a free replacement could be obtained from Nulodion. Picking the multicannon up and setting it up again resets the timer.
