Lunar equipment is the ceremonial attire of the Moon Clan, is made by players during the Lunar Diplomacy quest, and may be kept afterwards. All armour and jewellery Lunar equipment require 65 Magic and 40 Defence to wear, and the staff requires 65 Magic to wield. After completion of the quest, the pieces of Lunar equipment may be bought from the Oneiromancer on the Lunar Isle. This armour rivals the Splitbark armour and Skeletal armour, and some players keep the quest incomplete so they can reobtain them for far less the price than what they must pay to reobtain them from the Oneiromancer (the cost, 283k for the entire set, is similar to Mystic robes set). Note: Players may not make the item again after they complete the quest.

WARNING: These items will NOT show up under your gravestone.

These robes may be stored in a Magic wardrobe in a player-owned house (not with a Lunar helm (e) however).

Although the Lunar equipment's magical bonuses are surpassed by other sets of magical armour, it does provide defence bonuses against melee attacks. Even the popular Mystic robes and Infinity robes sets do not offer players melee defence. This can make Lunar equipment effective for mages during combat, especially if they cannot find a safe spot to cast their spells. However, mage Void Knight equipment is superior in this regard.

Colour change

In addition, it is possible to have your Lunar equipment in a different colour (the staff does not get recoloured), by spending 2000 Loyalty points, as of 21 September 2011.

Trivia

• Lunar equipment is the largest armour set in-game, consisting of 9 pieces.
• On the day of the release of the re-colouration of Lunar equipment, it was possible for players to obtain multiple sets of Lunar robes.
