Hopeless creatures are encountered during A Soul's Bane, in the Dungeon of Tolna. You must kill all 5 to make the Bridge of Hope appear. Each one needs to be killed 3 times before they die. They will retreat from you once you kill one of their forms. Every time you defeat it, it becomes smaller. Every time you eat while fighting this monster, 75% of its current lifepoints are restored.
These monsters will sometimes attack with ranged during the quest. Also, when poisoned, they do NOT carry the poison on to their next forms.
After the quest, these can be killed again for decent combat experience. They are an efficient way to train combat, due to their low defence and high lifepoints. Despite these conditions, it is rarely crowded around these monsters.
Trivia
- It looks like a human, and is one of the few humans to have fingers.
- They may be the digsite researchers Launa was talking about.
- Contrary to the belief of many, they have no face.
