Gnome Drivers are gnomes which ride along with gnome mages and gnome archers on trained tortoises at the Battlefield and north of the Tree Gnome Stronghold.
They appear to wear a gnomish variant of granite equipment, but have extremely low defence and appear to be unarmed. The gnome driver sometimes attacks first unless the player killed the tortoise from a distance with ranged or magic (in which case the ranger usually attacks first).

Trivia
- When the tortoise is killed, the three gnomes that spawn after it dies remain only for a limited time, they disappear a couple of seconds after the tortoise respawns if they have not been killed.
- After killing a level 92 Tortoise in the Gnome Stronghold, the Gnome driver appears to be doing half of the attack emote
- If you kill the tortoise and leave or even log out and come back the Gnome Driver may still be there and will attack you, due to a glitch.
